Readability is incredibly important in text conversations. With an increasing bulk of our daily conversations being brought onto mobile devices and computers, we begin to search for platforms that can make our communication with others as simple, natural and as real as possible. The ease of reading and understanding your conversations with co-workers and family is, therefore, a priority of ours.
The ease of reading and understanding your conversations with co-workers and family is, therefore, a priority of ours. After months of using the Typetalk lounge, searching and gathering feedback, we’ve put out a new lounge design that brings several improvements.
Who said what?
If you’ve gotten confused over which team members posted the messages you were reading, you won’t be experiencing that in future. We have now attached name identification to each message, so you won’t have to hover over their image icons to find out. Only hover to find out their @mention ID.
You shouldn’t have any problems identifying team members in a thread even if they decide to put up their favorite cat picture as their image icons.
As you start to invite more of your friends and co-workers to Typetalk, you will probably have more conversations that belong to different teams. Recognizing which teams topics belong to can become quite a problem.
With this in mind, we have also enabled team logo icons to be displayed alongside topic names in a thread, so you won’t be posting messages in the wrong thread.
Changes to the layout design include the removal of speech balloons for a smoother view of topic threads. Conversation views are also more compact with the removal of excess space surrounding speech balloons.
You will also notice that the topic thread field has been switched to plain white to make reading messages easier.
