What’s New at OKA
Coming in June 2008: "Using Type Lenses" Workshop
OKA is pleased to announce a new collaboration with the Association for Psychological Type (APT). Launching on June 19-20, 2008, "Using Type Lenses in Leading Type" is an exciting new workshop that illustrates how a number of two-letter type combinations, or type lenses, can be used to make psychological type knowledge accessible and actionable.
Temperament, Function Pair, Attitude Pair and the Quadrants have all proved rich and powerful lenses for illuminating the influence of psychological type on behavior. Through group exercises, lecturettes, small group discussions and case studies, this experiential workshop—delivered by Otto Kroeger, Hile Rutledge and Katherine Hirsh—explores each of these lenses and the individual or organizational issues that each is best equipped to address. What Was New at OKA Before...
April 2008: Hile Rutledge Leads Teleconference for APT e-Chapter
Hile Rutledge, OKA Chief Executive Officer, conducted a teleconference for APT’s (Association for Psychological Type’s) e-Chapter on April 1, 2008. The topic was “Bridging the Gap Between Type and Temperament.” For years, there have been two opposing camps within the type community: Temperament advocates and Temperament opponents. As longtime supporters, authors, and trainers of both systems, OKA is in a unique position to offer a bridge between these too often opposing approaches. In this discussion, Hile covered the roots of this conflict, make arguments as to why the conflict is unnecessary, and give intellectual legitimacy to Keirsey's Temperament model - while also making the case for the incompleteness of a purist Type approach.

July 2007: Jennifer Tucker Speaks at Reversal Theory and Type Conferences
Jennifer Tucker, OKA Consulting Director, presented to both Reversal Theory audiences and Psychological Type audiences at conferences in July 2007. First, she traveled to Wales to discuss "Reversal Theory and the Motivational Dynamics of Scientific Data Sharing" at the 2007 International Reversal Theory Conference. The following week, she presented "Type and Project Management" for type enthusiasts at the APT International Conference in Baltimore, MD. While leveraging different theories and models, both presentations were born from the same passion: applying the complex dynamics of human personality to the very real challenges of today's world.
May 2007: OKA Publishes Reversal Theory Materials
Since 2002, OKA has been consulting and training with Reversal Theory, a ground-breaking approach to personality, motivation and emotion. Long researched and clinically analyzed, Reversal Theory is relatively new to the field of organizational change and development. As such, few established handouts, training procedures, and support materials have existed to make this theory accessible to most trainers, consultants and clients.
Reversing Forward: A Practical Guide to Reversal Theory changes that. This 76 page full-color fieldbook serves as both an introduction to Reversal Theory, and a structural guide to an interactive and actionable training session. Supporting the fieldbook, OKA's Reversal Theory PowerPoint slides offer a ready-to-go training tool for trainers/consultants who wish to deliver this exciting new tool. Qualification training is not required to purchase OKA's Reversal Theory materials.
